Barite
Weighing Material
Product Description
Barite is precisely ground barium sulphate used to increase the density of both oil based and water based mud. It is a chemically inert powder which meets or exceeds the API specifications.
Application/Function
Used to increase the density of all drilling fluids .
Advantages
- Insoluble and chemically inert, except in specific brines
- Non sag weight material
- Low ECD fluids
- Reduces abrasiveness with d90 of typically less than 30 microns
